Fleadership Theories

Question: Demonstrate your understanding and give an evaluation on fleadership theories and cross cultural factors within organisations. Answer: Introduction An Overview of Endon Engineering Endon Engineering PLC is a UK based organization, which has started its operations in the local market of UK. Currently the organization has started its operations in varied other locations of the globe. In relation to this, it can be stated that over the years the organization has operated its business operations within the automotive industry. However, it is also identified that the organization has faced several challenges from its external marketplace due to cross cultural issues. In this context, more specifically it can be stated that external cross cultural issues have affected the manufacturing potential of the organization. At the same time, it is also identified that Endon Engineering has also witnessed diversified challenges during the production of its spare parts. On the other hand, it has also been identified that the organization has also faced ample amount of challenges during the execution of its business operations. Thus, with an aim of reducing business process ass ociated challenges, the organization has emphasized on its leadership approaches/styles, which has helped the organization to mitigate its manufacturing process and production of automotive parts and spear related problems. The Objective of the Report The aim of this particular report is to identify and evaluate the national cultural issues of Endon Engineering including its major obstacles in terms of manufacturing process. In this regard, the report will highlight how the organization has overcome its manufacturing associated problems including national cultural issues. At the same time, the study will also analyze and evaluate the suitable leadership approaches and styles of Endon Engineering, which has helped the organization to change its working process along with the internal culture of the workforce within the organization. Indentify and Evaluation of National Cultural Issues of Endon Engineering In order to highlight the national cultural issues, it can be stated that culture is considered as one of the key issues, which may create higher impact on an organization, during the execution of its business operations. In this regard, more precisely it can be argued that culture is like a collective program, which usually defines collective values, beliefs, principles, attitudes and behavior of human index. However, it is also identified that culture can be distinguished from one member to another member and one group to another group (Keller and Foster, 2012). In this regard, more precisely it can be argued that over the last couple of decades, it has been identified that the impact of globalization has created an impact on organizational culture by affecting the overall performance of the workforce. At the same time, it is also viewed that Endon Engineering has also faced numerous number of challenges from its internal as well as external marketplace during the implementation of its manufacturing functions. Apart from this, it is also notified that cross cultural issues have become one of the significant threats for the organization during the production of automotive spear parts. Based on the observation, it has been recognized that cultural issues not only affects the manufacturing capability of the organization, but rather it also initiates greater challenges for Endon Engineering in terms of hampering the working ambiance and employee-employer relationship within the organization. However, it has also been viewed that the impact of cr oss cultural diversity has been highly observed in case of Endon Engineering, which has affected the competitive advantages of the organization within the global marketplace. Simultaneously, cultural issues have also initiated greater challenges for the organization during the offering of automotive product and services (Cizek et al., 2011). Moreover, it is also viewed that cross cultural issues have initiated greater challenges for Endon Engineering in terms of communication and interaction between all the employees. As an effect, it has been identified that cross cultural interface has not only hampered the operational efficiency of the organization, but rather it has also initiated greater managerial risk for Endon Engineering. Apart from this, it can be argued that the lack of communication and cross cultural factors has affected the autocratic structure of the organization, which has imposed greater challenges during the selection of automotive trade partners and distributers. Additionally, it can be also stated that cross cultural interface has imposed a critical situation for Endon Engineering during the preparation of trade fairs and exhibitions among others in terms of automotive parts and spear. In addition, it can be argued that cross cultural issues have also have affected the trade potential of Endon Enginee ring by affecting the customer interacting ability of the employees. On the other hand, it can be also stated that culture has not only affected the work ambiance of Endon Engineering, rather it has also affected the motivation of the entire workforce to perform better (Machac, 2013). In this regard, in order to highlight the cross cultural impact it can be stated that cross cultural issues have initiated greater complexity for the entire workforce by influencing the behavior of the employees at Endon Engineering. At the same time, it has also been viewed that high cultural interface has affected the overall commitment level of the workforce, which has hampered the overall performance of the employees, during the process of manufacturing of the automotive spear parts accessories. Simultaneously, it is also viewed that poor cultural interface leads to greater dissatisfaction among the workforce by increasing cultural distance and complexity. As an effect, the organization has faced ample amount of challenges for its internal as well as external market. Identify and Analysis the Major Obstacles of Endon Engineering In order to identify and analyze the major obstacles of Endon Engineering, it can be stated that various factors have affected the overall performance of the organization in a diversified manner within the automotive industry. This has led the organization to greater difficulties during the implementation of business operations. At the same time, it can be argued that due to the cause of major obstacles, the organization has found greater difficulties during the overcoming phase of managerial and operational problems (Su et al., 2012). In this regard, more precisely it can be argued that Endon Engineering not only faces obstacles from cultural aspects, rather the organization has also witnessed difficulties in terms of quality related aspects in case of automotive spear parts and accessories. In relation to this, it can be argued that lack of commitment and attention of the workforce, has hampered the manufacturing potential of the organization. At the same time, it can be argued that during the execution of the manufacturing operations, the organization has tried to improve the quality of its automotive product, but due to adoption of poor manufacturing process, Endon Engineering has struggled to do so. In this context, it can be stated that lack of quality of automotive parts and poor commitment level of the workforce has led Endon Engineering towards uncertainty which has also hampered the business competencies of the organization (Herrmann and Felfe, 2012). On the other hand, in order to highlight the obstacles of Endon Engineering, it can be argued that lack of efficiency of the management regarding cross cultural diversification and associated aspects have led to greater challenges for the organization. This has affected the trade potential of the organization within the domestic as well as international market. Consequently, it can be argued that lack of knowledge of the employees regarding culture and language associated aspects have led to greater challenges for the organization during the implementation of cross border business operations. Apart from this, it can be mentioned that leadership was also one of the major concerns for Endon Engineering, as it has been identified that leadership may play an imperative role for an organization, during the execution of business operations. In this context, more precisely it can be argued that poor leadership style or tactic may obstacle the performance of Endon Engineering, through affect ing the operational and financial functions (Hashai and Delios, 2012). However, it can be also mentioned that poor leadership styles/tactics also may affect the performance of an organization by reducing competitive advantages within the operating marketplace. In this regard, it can be argued that poor leadership styles/ tactics have not only affected the profitability and growth of Endon Engineering, but have also created a negative impact on the viability and long-term sustainability of the organization. In order to highlight the rationale behind this above stated context, it can be claimed that due to the cause of poor leadership styles/tactics, the organization has not been able to encourage or motivate their workforce, leading to greater obstacles for the organization. Apart from this, it is also viewed that the organization was also unable to provide effective training to their employees regarding the manufacturing process, as a result of poor leadership styles/tactics. As an effect, the workforce of Endon Engineering has struggled to meet the nee ds and requirements of their consumers and stakeholders and has also initiated greater challenges for the organization, during the implementation of manufacturing functions (Dean et al., 2013). In this regard, more precisely it can be argued that inappropriate leadership styles and tactics not only affected the ability and capacity of manufacturing process for Endon Engineering, but it has also created a greater impact on the overall performance of the organization by reducing its volume of revenue and market share (Keller and Foster, 2012). In relation to this, it can be also argued that lack of technological support not only affects the competitive position of Endon Engineering, rater it also hampers the overall quality of the product. Apart from this, it is also viewed that poor cross cultural interface within the organization has affected the relations between employer and employees. As an effect, dissatisfaction has been raised among the employees of Endon Engineering (Cizek et al., 2011). On the other hand, it can be also asserted that the organization does not adopt any modern tools or technologies during the implementation of its manufacturing operations which hampe r the operational process of Endon Engineering. As an impact, the organization has laid poor outcome. Simultaneously, it can be also argued that poor quality of automotive spear and parts is not able to meet the increasing needs and expectations of the automotive organizations and marketers along with consumers. As an effect, the organization has lost its market share within the operating marketplace (Diestre and Santalo, 2013). Identify and Evaluate Suitable Leadership Approaches/Styles for Leading Change In order to highlight the effective leadership tactics/ styles, it can be asserted that by emphasizing on effective leadership strategies, the organizations may effectively enhance the efficiency of their business process by increasing the efficacy of the employees. In this regard, more precisely it can be argued that incorporation of effective leadership strategies not only helps Endon Engineering to enhance their efficacy of team members, but it may also help the organization to enhance its operational efficiency, thereby leading the organization towards greater success within the automotive industry. Moreover, in order to analyze the potentiality of Endon Engineering for leading changes within the organization in terms of leadership tactics/ styles, it can be argued that by emphasizing on leadership tactics/styles, Endon Engineering may effectively enhance the efficiency of the automotive spear parts. Focusing on effective leadership tactics/styles may help the organization to dev elop its operational or functional processes (Dorel, 2012). In this context, more precisely it can be argued that emphasizing on leadership tactics/styles will not only help the organization to reduce its operational or functional challenges, but it may also help the organization to enhance its effectiveness within the operating industry by establishing good relations within its stakeholders, suppliers and consumers. On the other hand, it is also viewed that concentrating on the leadership tactics/ styles also may help the organization to develop a diversified culture within the organization, which may encourage or motivate the entire workforce to perform better, by enhancing their commitment as well as loyalty towards the organization. Consequently, it is also viewed that focusing on an effective leadership approach may help Endon Engineering to reduce its operational / functional cost by mitigating automotive spear and parts associated products from manufacturing cost (Hashai and Delios, 2012). On the other hand, by paying higher attention towards the leadership tactics/ styles, Endon Engineering may effectively enhance its ability of making a wide range of automotive mechanical parts. In this regard, rationally it can be argued that by concentrating on the leadership tactics/ styles, the organization may effectively enhance its manufacturing process capability by incorporating advanced tools and technology. However, it is also viewed that by emphasizing on the leadership tactics/ styles, Endon Engineering may significantly ensure its long-term sustainability within the operating market by maintaining the quality of its automotive spear and part accessories. In relation to this, it can be argued that incorporation of effective leadership tactics/ styles may help the organization to acquire the attention of the consumers and it also may assist the organization to maintain its competitive advantages within the marketplace (Herrmann and Felfe, 2012). According to the viewpoint of Holten and Brenner (2015), by emphasizing on the effective leadership tactics/ styles, an organization may effectively establish certain norms, values, ethics and belief among the employees, which usually helps an organization to build a diversified working culture. In relation to this, it can be argued that the establishment of diversified working culture helps an organization to fulfill the needs and expectations of the workforce, which in turn helps an organization to ensure its long-term success within the operating marketplace (Christiana et al., 2014). Based on the analysis, it is identified that during the execution of business operations, Endon Engineering has faced enormous amount of challenges from its internal and external marketplace, as the organization has struggled to produce better quality automotive spear and parts due to their poor cross cultural impact within the organization. Thus, with an aim of enhancing the competitive position of the business, Endon Engineering has highly emphasized on its organizational cultural traits and leadership style and approaches, which has helped the organization to enhance its current position within the operating market by establishing a relations between organizational culture and the leadership protocol (Kang, 2012). In relation to this, based on the viewpoint of Kodali (2012), it is identified that by concentrating on the leadership style and approaches, Endon Engineering has developed a team oriented culture within the organization, which has helped Endon Engineering to enhance the effectiveness and efficacy of the leaders. In relation to this, Keller and Foster (2012) mentioned that the top managers leadership effectiveness such as innovative thinking approach, visionary though and courageous approach have assisted Endon Engineerings workforce to enhance their commitment level and loyalty towards the organization. As an impact, the organization has witnessed better team efforts from its existing workforce (Machac, 2013). On the other hand, it is also viewed that by emphasizing on the leadership effectiveness the organization has been able to produce the desired outcome in terms of goods and services. In this regard, it can be stated that the incorporation of appropriate leadership styles and a pproaches have helped the organization to reduce its cross cultural differences within the organization and has also helped Endon Engineering to build an effective working culture within the organization by establishing a team. Critical Success Factors for Changing Process According to the viewpoint of McKay (2011), it is identified that an organization may effectively reduce its cross cultural interface as well as its leadership styles and approaches related problems by establishing a diversified working culture within the organization. In relation to this, it can be mentioned that with an aim of ensuring a diversified working culture within an organization, it is highly essential to improve the morale of the existing workforce by posing positive motivation and encouragement. Apart from this, it can be also be stated that by emphasizing on the effective leadership tactics/ styles an organization may effectively develop its training and development protocol for their employees. This may help an organization to acquire success by improving the quality and services of automotive parts and spear related accessories.(Morgner,2015). In relation to this, San Lam and O'Higgins (2012) argued that emphasis on training and development of Endon Engineering has not only enhanced its product quality and services, but also enhanced its level of profitability. This may help an organization to ensure its long-term sustainability within the marketplace. However, it is also notified that the incorporation of modern technology may also help the organization to reduce its manufacturing process related discrepancies by enhancing the ability of manufacturing process. In this context, Notgrass (2014) claimed that the adoption of Total Quality Management (TQM) may help an organization to enhance the quality of its manufacturing process. Simultaneously, it can be also stated that the incorporation of the TQM tools may also help Endon Engineering acquire the attention of the consumers towards its automotive spear and parts related products. In addition, it can be also mentioned that the adoption of the benchmarking tools may also help an organization to compare the quality of its products along within its competitors. This may help an organization to produce better outcomes by knowing the ability and capability of its rival. In relation to this, it can be also recommended that the organization should incorporate a boarder perspective, which may help an organization to produce better outcomes by increasing the quality of the manufacturing functions and by developing deeper ideas regarding the workplace associated challenges (Su et al., 2012). Conclusion Based on the above discussion, it is clearly notified that the lack of cultural diversification within an organization and poor leadership approaches and styles may lead an organization towards greater failure. In this context, it is viewed that Endon Engineering has faced enormous amount of challenges during the execution of its operational function and manufacturing operations. In this regard, more precisely it can be argued that the lack of advancement of operational process and technology has affected the overall outcome of the organization. Simultaneously, it is also viewed that poor leadership approach has led to greater dissatisfaction among the workforce, due to a cross cultural interface. Moreover, it has also affected the relation between employer and employees. In relation to this, it is identified that by adopting appropriate leadership tactics, the organization has developed a diversified culture within the organization. This helps Endon Engineering to produce a better o utcome by improving its automotive parts and spear manufacturing process. Additionally, it can be argued that the incorporation of the TQM tools and the benchmarking tools have helped Endon Engineering to produce a better outcome, which has enhanced the competitive position of Endon Engineering within the marketplace.
